My husband doesn’t support my At Home Business!!!

Does this sound familiar to you?

Well if it does then honey you are not alone. I know about this from personal experience as I have tried a lot of at home jobs like direct sales and so on before I decided to go to college and do something different.

If your job is in a direct selling company such as Avon or Mary Kay please do not let anyone tell you this is not a real job. My mom has sold Avon for over 15 years now and she works her butt off. She has dedicated customers, and a down line, and is always talking about her company. This is a real job and she deserves the respect of it. Sometimes these direct sales companies can be amazing. Most direct sales company will pay up to 40% commission as well as do giveaways and trips to win. A dear sweet friend of mine Leonie Dawson  who has created a million dollar company on her own has also signed up to sell Doterra  and she has made a ton of money doing that too. She would tell you this is a real job.  I learned most of my selling tips from conferences I attended as well as seminars on being a great seller. I got to meet amazing women who were successful and driven. If this is what you are doing or thinking of doing then congratulations. You Rock!

Some of you might work from home for a specific company like a call center or be like me and write and sell books. Whatever you choose to do is up to you, but be proud of yourself for taking this step.

However the day may come where you will sign up for a company and get your starter kit. You will be super excited and ready to take on the world, when your husband comes out and is like ” what is this shit?” Now let’s hope that does not happen but some times it does, or he may not be that rude but he lets it be known that this is not a real job and you will never make real money from it.

That is where I come in to say BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes that is right it is bullshit… My mom sells anywhere from $600 to $1200 dollars in Avon every two weeks which is like $2000 a month and at her level she now makes $50% of her sales so she averages about $1000 to $1500 a month or more. Now to some people this may not seem like a lot but to a stay at home mom or a disabled woman this probably sounds like a great deal. Also you have to consider my mom only works about 2 or 3 days a week, I am very proud of my mom. A little side note here… if your interested in signing up to sell Avon it’s only $25 for your starter kit and my mom is a great leader. You can sign up under her at https://jdykes.avonrepresentative.com/ )

Anyway…. if you don’t have a supportive husband then you won’t be successful. Well I guess if you don’t care what your husband thinks LOL then you could be. However if you value his opinion like most of us wives do then your going to have a hard time.

My suggestions to help with this are these tips:

Reassure him that you love him

See if he wants to help with your business

Be open about your goals and what you want to achieve through this business

Find out what his fears and doubts are about having this business

Have him read this great post by a Chris Dawson who is the husband of the very successful Leonie Dawson. This post will help husband come around as well as help you understand.

Lots of love
